Although every project has unique characteristics, we deliver the same message at each location – safety is every team member’s priority. We are committed to implementing and maintaining safety-focused programs that train our employees to be proactive and aware and to work together to keep our operations incident-free.
This commitment drives our project management and impacts our decision-making process in several areas, including:

• Vehicle Recommendations – When we propose a vehicle for any aspect of your project, you can be assured that it has been chosen specifically for its safety advantages.
• Route Planning – We carefully choose routes within parking facilities, on the road, and at the job site and customize them with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Vehicle Maintenance Standards – When appropriate, we adjust our maintenance standards to exceed the manufacturer’s standards and improve safety.
• Hiring and Retention of Employees – We hire and promote people who champion our safety initiatives and work to retain those who deliver on our safety commitment.

Further, we meticulously maintain our vehicle fleet. USCC conducts a mandatory 34-point checklist as part of our Preventative Maintenance Program. Additionally, drivers perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections as a daily routine.

Through Samsara Technology, we receive real-time, in-service diagnostics and keep a maintenance shop truck available to complete repairs. If a vehicle is disabled on the road, electronic road failure notifications are sent to all staff with a commercial driver’s license so we can quickly and safely get passengers to their destination. At the end of the service day, we complete bus washing, waste unloading, and cleaning to reduce wear and tear on the vehicle.

USCC transports customers across some of the most challenging terrain in the country. To ensure we can do that safely, we tailor our maintenance standards to the project’s needs. Whether providing the best tires for specific road conditions or using enhanced filters in the vehicle’s HVAC system, you can be confident that our fleet will meet or exceed safety standards at every turn.
